We had another long day scheduled on the bus. This time was much better. The kids were on time and everything went according to the plan, saving us make-up time, stress and aggravation.
Our first stop on our way into Florence was the Piazza Michelangelo. This is a beautiful square at the top of the city with an amazing overlook. There is also a huge bronze replica of the statue of David.
We checked into our hotel with plenty of time to spare. It is a traditional old place with super high ceilings and crazy bathrooms.
We then headed to dinner and enjoyed a huge salad, seasoned potatoes and herbed chicken. We followed that with a leisurely stroll along the Arno. It was beautiful to be walking as the sun set reflecting on the water. Final stop was gelato, finally!
